So I have 3 layers with Z values of 0',10' and 20' and delta Z values of 10' for each of two floors (and 0' for the roof layer.)If I stack them (in front view,) they appear "exploded" with 10' of air…Continue

"No, Nik, I'm sorry, I read over this part in your mail: " If I link my second floor walls heights to layer delta Z, the walls disappear into themselves (leaving the windows behind in space) so I have them set with a bottom Z of 10'…"

"Hi. I'm using VW2009, but perhaps you're right that it's something buggy with the system which I shall explore, rather than me as an inexperienced operator? The issue does appear the same whether in wire frame or any GL or polygon…"

"Hi Nik, More questions: Have you tried this in VW 2010 SP4? Does it behave the same? Is it only the Open GL render engine that does this, or are the Renderworks enigines affected, too? Gerard"

"yes, thank you for looking - I've also attached a stacked "front" view showing separation more clearly, with roof layer active and 0' elevation showing up at the base of the second floor"

"I had my suspicions about NNA - the technology they utilise does seem to be beyond the predominant technology of civilisation as we know it (in the USA.) Nevertheless, where "Mathematical accuracy like this is thought by some to be too advanced…"

A colleague refers to draughtsmen as CAD Monkeys, but it's creative meditation to me. As my time is divided between various practices, I'm happy to find a support forum here as a resource to keep me updated and productive when my wheels haven't been oiled on a recent VW project!
