About Me:: Born in 1966 I had my first taste of garden construction at the age of 14 when I built a garden pond and I have been hooked on gardens ever since. When I left school I worked for a landscape gardener for 5 years after which I worked for civil engineers where I gained my knowledge of construction, ground works and drainage. In 2004 I studied with the Institute of Garden Design and achieved a Diploma with Merit.

MP Garden Designs is a family run business incorporating my wife Lyn who is responsible for administration, book keeping and advertising and the more recent addition of my son Billy who is showing a very keen interest in learning about garden construction.

In addition to designing and project managing the construction of gardens for private clients I also undertake corporate freelance design work for Tobermore Concrete Products Ltd, landscape contractors, property developers and local authorities.

I am based in Ackworth, Pontefract, West Yorkshire and have a second base in Leeds, West Yorkshire where I have also designed four concept gardens which are available for the public to view at The Timberworks Shed Company, Selby Road, Swillington, Leeds, LS5 4LQ, next to Strikes garden centre.

I offer a full professional garden design, project management and construction service tailored to your needs and requirements. My aim is to provide a friendly customer focused service with all work carried out to the highest standards.
