"Draw flat, but in scale, then use the Plot and Model command. You can rotate the resulting Design Layer Viewport to the proper 3D position."

I'm drawing a 3D model of a black box theatre and I have lighting positions (pipes) which are stacked, with about 4 feet of vertical space between them. Does anyone have a good way to use the drawing for a clear light plot and 3D model with future pre-vis and rendering in mind? In older, 2D drawings the positions were just offset from each other and the high and low pipes were indicated on the drawing. Thanks for the help!See More
