About Me:
What I've done in the past.
I'm a freelance designer with * 4 Years of Point of purchase design I would start with prototype drawing and color renderings to sell the job. Then draw part drawings for the prototype and finish with Display Assembly Instruction Sheets. All designed in 3D using Vector works / Render works.
(Have a updated hardware archive catalog accumulated during the time spent there).
* 4 years of furniture design.
(Have the main catalog, cad department procedures and all the files for 2 1/2 million dollars of furniture for 1998 and 1999).
* 2 years of kitchen design. Using 20 20 Kitchen Design and Vectworks to do additional line drawings as required.
I own my own seat of Vectorworks / Renderworks 11.5 and also use Coreldraw to do graphic design.

I know the feeling Andy :) I'm self educated over the years in AutoCad Point, Bentley Architecture, ADT, VW and ArchiCAD (in that order), the trick is to understand how the program designer(s) think, once you find this red line things get easier....…
