Whenever I create a site modifier (eg a pad) my view changes from "top/plan" to "top". I'm really frustrated by this as I'm sometimes working in rotated views etc and just re-selecting top/plan doesn't go back to exactly how it was.

Has anyone else found this, and have you found a way to stop it?

I'm running VW/Landmark 2011 @ SP3 on Windows/Vista

I have a work around. Draw the Site Modifier as a polygon, then use the Objects From Polyline... command to make the polygon into a site modifier.

Hi J.  Thanks for responding, but your workaround doesn't fix it for me!  I pretty much always do my pads, etc. as polygons & use "Modify-Objects from polyline" anyway, and as soon as the modification takes place it flips from top/plan to top view.  It also flips to top view if I change an attribute of the pad (e.g. elevation or slope) via the object info palette, or if I do something like 2D-reshape on the pad to add, remove or move a vertex.

I can't remember if it's always been like this in VW2011, or if it only started after I'd inadvertantly changed some kind of option (or even after a VW update - I'm at SP3, build 139815).

Any other ideas?
