New to 3D
I have been using VW for 2+ years now and recently...., Well...!!!! Since 3 days ago been on an intensive 3D course in London. It felt like information overload. But I'm sure I will get the hang of things pretty soon, with the help of Kevin, I hope!

If it's any consolation, Vectorworks 2010's modeling in 3D views is much easier, and actually fun to learn - if you're familiar with Sketchup.
