Is there a free version or trial? I have been thinking about an app that I could use to help me in the field, drawing up existing conditions. It would be great if this information I gather in the field could be digital when I get back to the office to draw in Vectorworks.
You know what might be fantastic? Within an app, using the camera (or importing from another source if using the earlier version) on the iPad 2 to photograph an elevation and then annotate it, or use it as an underlay to sketch on top, putting down dimensions or other info. Just a thought...

Charles,
There's an iPhone version which is free and the iPad version is only $5. I had in mind capturing dimensional data from the field so I think it might be what you're looking for. As far as the camera, I definitely will be taking advantage of that feature of the iPad but I haven't gotten to that point yet.

I thought I'd update this post. GraphPad has gone through almost a year more development since my last comments here, and it's vastly improved. The concept is still the same, however, to allow users to make simple accurate scaled drawings while in the field. You can now add images from the iPad Camera roll directly to the GraphPad document, as well as scale, rotate and crop those images. Unlike other drawing applications - GraphPad documents have multiple pages, so you can have several pictures, drawings, and text in a single document.
I'm still enhancing the product, but it's come a long way. I'd be very interest in hearing folks comments and suggestions on how I can improve my product.
Thanks!
Rob
