File Corruption

I have been having a major problem with one of my project files where it saves fine then when you want to open the file VW crashes.

The problem is exacerbated by the was in which VW2010 allows you to more efficiently create elevations in the same file as the Plans, whereas before we had separate plans and elevations files. So now I not only have to re-draw the elevations, but the plans too.

I have been incrementally saving so have multiple versions, plus using a Time Capsule that saves all the current and old vwbackup files.

This problem is only noticeable when you open the file and my (old) methodology of working was to leave my machine and go and have lunch/dinner/sleep so the machine stayed on most of the time, or went to sleep and I carried on with my incremental saves. Doing this caused me to lose about a week's worth of work because VW corrupted a long train of files and their backups.

There is no imported content, it was all totally created in-application, so there is no chance it is some weird geometry from another application messing it up.

Two weeks later, nothing useful is forthcoming from Nemetschek. They said it isn't crashing VW in a 'normal' way.

Has anyone else had this problem?
