VectorWorking

The Community for Architects, Landscape & Lighting Designers

We've gotten a pretty big influx of new members recently so I wanted to take a moment to welcome everyone and ask all of you to come in and say hello! Please feel free to introduce yourself if you're an existing member and if you're a newer member, tell us what brought you in and what you hope to get out of this site.

I'll start.

I'm Franco. I started this site with the support of Novedge so we could all share our experiences. I hope this becomes a place where we can all learn from each other. It's a shared venue where we inform you of current events, share our professional experiences using Vectorworks, and find ideas and inspiration for new projects and designs. Welcome to VectorWorking!

Thank you for the welcome.

I'm very new to Vectorworks, but am enjoying exploring what it is capable of.  My background is in architecture, but am now primarily into designing theatre sets.  Although, am currently involved in preliminary designs for an extension to our business. A 40 place room for the care of Birth to 2 year old children.

Have to admit there are some aspects of VW that are challenging me so look forward to checking out some forums/groups.

Regards

Trevor

Franco,

Is great to be part of a Vectorwork  community. I hope I can learn from all of you.  Also, I would like to share some of my Vectorwork experiences...

Thank you for the welcome and hi all

I'm new to the world of architectural design and landscape architecture.

The field of my study is forest resources management including forest landscape design. While researching landscape design and visualization products available on the market, I've recently discovered VW and become curious whether it can be used in this industry and at its spatial scale.

So, looking forward to sharing my ideas and learning from your experience.

Regards

Petr

Hi all and thanks for the welcome!

I'm a long time VW user, since Minicad 6 (afair), and keep counting.

I'm a civil engineer and I use VW both for architectural design and for the engineering aspects of my work.

See you on the forum!

Hello all!

I've been using Vectorworks since version 11 and had previously used it mainly for plans and 2D stuff, over the last year or two I've been using it quite a bit more and really pushing into more complex 3D shapes. I'm excited to have a group of people to come to with questions or problems and hope to also see what other people are working on.

Also thanks Franco for putting this site together.

Danny
